Last night in Manhattan, the city that never sleeps Bjorn Borg held the launch for his latest mens underwear line along with the Firefighters of NY to raise money for the Widow’s and Children’s Fund.

New York’s finest were scantily clad to help promote the new collection, nothing new for the boys of the 2010 City of the Brave pin-up calendar.

The event was a large success, even Peter Eliot store owner Eliot Rabin dropped his dacks to show off his own pair of Bjorn Borgs.

bonds undies snap Jocktober: Calling all UndiesAustralian Charity group Apex is requesting for everyone to give them your undies.

From now until October Western Australia’s Apex division’s “Jocktober” charity event will attempt to raise awareness for prostate cancer by setting a new world record for the longest line of underwear.

David Briggs, Vice President of Apex Western Australia claims the chairt needs 18,700 pairs of underwear donated to match the number of prostate cancer cases diagnosed in Australia each year alone. When October rolls around they will lay them out and see how far it stretches.

“We’re hoping to make a line of underwear out the Bunbury ground to the ocean front, but I must admit I’m not sure how far thousands of pairs of underwear string out to be yet,” he said.

“We’ll advertise for people to donate their undies. We’ll set up collection bins around WA and interstate so people can leave their undies in a bag.”

“We are asking for clean undies though.”

Australian celebrities are not safe from this new round of charitable events. Apex wants all the big names to sign and send in their second hand undies so Apex can auction them off at eBay

“It’d be really nice to get a pair from the likes of Delta Goodrem or Kylie Minogue, but even if we can get people like Mel and Kochie to give us a pair of their undies and sign them,” he said.

“We’re hoping we can target some famous sports stars, get them to sign their undies and we’ll try and sell them on eBay – anyone’s undies that’ll attract a good dollar.”

Small businesses are also being asked to get behind the initiative and help raise between $40-$50,000.

And what is the campaigns main message……

“We want your undies.”
