Men’s Bikini Briefs

The bikini brief falls somewhere between the classic brief and the male thong. The classic briefs have been around since the 1930’s, it’s refreshing to see that they now have a complimenting counterpart. Offering less bulk than the classic brief, the bikini brief has the ‘barely there’ feel, and is not visible underneath even the tightest clothing. Traditional briefs most often are available in cotton or cotton blends, but the alluring bikini briefs are available in a wide variety of enticing fabrics, such as nylon, silk, mesh blends and premium cotton blends. The color options are not quite as extensive; most are available in solid colors with decorative waistbands.

Bikini briefs typically do not have a fly opening and if one appears to be present it is faux. They offer a sleek, tighter fit that is smooth and contouring along the body. Perhaps it is the sleekness of the design that makes the more snug fit. For support and lift, the bikini brief is certainly superior to the classic brief. Many of the bikini briefs have high cut legs, providing a full range of motion, which is excellent for the active or sports minded man.

Comparatively, without the bikini brief, the choices were the classic brief or the thong, and the bikini brief offers a compromise between the two that men have been looking for, less material without just bare skin, full coverage and a more comfortable, supporting pouch.

Reviews have indicated that some men have difficulty purchasing the bikini briefs because of their packaging, stating that they appear to look too much like women’s underwear when they are packaged. However, none have said that this feeling lasted any time at all after opening the packaging – On the body it is an entirely different state of affairs.
