About Oroton
Over the years the company evolved from Boyd Lane & Company to the Oroton Group, or “Oroton” as it is now known today. In the early 1950’s they were renown for their elegant gold compact cases, in the 1960’s for their jewelry, then, in the 1970’s for their wonderful disco mesh that everyone had to have that evolved into the Italianesque brown leather handbags in the 1980’s. In the 1990’s they traded in the Italianesque handbags for their timeless black bags, later evolving into their accessory items in early 2000; today it is their long-lasting high quality relaxed luxury items.
In addition to their 42 stores, Orton’s products can be found online and in most major department stores. They are well known for their high quality and sharp eye for fashion and trends. All of Orton’s products are designed, sourced and customized in Sydney, Australia, at Orton’s main location, from the design conception with pencil and sketchpad to the material sourcing and hardware brought in from around the world. Their designers have a knack for understanding and interpreting the latest styles and fashions, both locally and internationally, and are able to produce gorgeous, timeless pieces of high quality items to meet those trends, maintaining their position within the fashion industry.
