About Mitch Dowd
In desperate attempt to finance his latest art exhibition, 24 year old Artist Mitch Dowd was on the streets of Melbourne, Australia, selling his hand painted underwear. Boxers being new to the region, they were a huge hit. To his utter amazement, within a week Mitch had sold 150 pairs and shortly thereafter had two of Australia’s largest department stores requesting 5,000 pairs. The success pulled his brother, Jason Dowd, into the business into 1993; this allowed Mitch the freedom to explore his art career while his underwear business continued to grow. Jason’s position as a Managing Director combined with his financial savvy has proved to be quite beneficial for the Mitch Dowd business.
Within a few short years, ANZ bank, Australia’s second largest bank, as well as a few shareholders invested in the business, allowing the Mitch Dowd line to expand to the United States and United Kingdom in 2005. This gave his company the global recognition that he needed to become the market leader that he is today. His story is a testament to hard work and a quality product, proving that the rewards can be great.
Since his underwear has been so successful, Mitch Dowd’s artwork pseudonym name is now Mitch McAulley.

I have a few advetising slogans for you (which I have dated and documented). It can be done in a few ways. “Dowds are for Dudes, not Duds” “Dowds for Dudes” “Hot men wear Dowds”
Please send this info to your marketing department. Thanks, Kevin.
Hi, I have a few ideas for your marketing department, which I have dated and documented.
“Dowds are for Dudes, not Duds”
“Hot men deserve Dowds”
“Dowds, not for all men”
I hope you like them. Thanks for your time, Kevin.
Why just Australlian flags? Go for a………….flag. I’m partial to Canadian flags myself. Do men actually use the button? I never do.
