Introducing Primal Earth a New Zealand based men’s skincare company that specialise in natural, organic, plant based products that use locally harvested raw materials. The brand creator Shane Young grew up as one of those kids with asthma, eczema and allergic reactions to pollens and dust mites but grew out of these allergies when in his teens but still like many boys out there had reactions to certain chemicals used in facial and acne cleansers.
To this day he still can’t use a lot of standard moisturisers and chaving creams without breaking out with contact dermatitis which can stay red and sensitive for several weeks. With all of this is in mind Primal Earth was created as an alternative and a solution to bombarding our bodies with chemicals and the lack of options available in everyday supermarkets.
Primal Earth uses ingredients such as Mamuku fern extract to lubricate, Harakeke flax oil to heal and protect and Aloe Vera to hydrate there’s simply no need to subject your skin to chemicals that we’re not sure are all that good for us. Skin reacts when saturated with the additives and chemicals that are so commonplace in other products. So we don’t mask problems, but avoid them entirely with simple, natural solutions.
